Student Clerkship

Medical students

Great  Plains Family Medicine Residency Program offers two rotation options for medical students.

Third-year and fourth-year students at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University can choose Great Plains as the site for their four-week family medicine clerkship or sub-internship. Time is spent in our outpatient clinic, in both INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center campuses, and with our inpatient team and at daily didactics. Interested OU and OSU students should enroll as usual and request Great Plains as the site.

Great Plains Family Medicine offers a limited number of two-week, elective rotations, Family Medicine in a Community/Urban Setting, for fourth-year medical students in United States LCME medical schools. The rotation includes inpatient and outpatient experience, daily didactics, working with our electronic health record, as well as the opportunity to focus on pediatrics, obstetrics and/or geriatrics. Additional experience taking call with a resident, attending journal clubs and learning about other aspects of our residency program is available during this rotation.

If you are interested in either of these options, please contact the Program Supervisor for eligibility and enrollment requirements:
