Dear IHP Physicians,

As you know, the metric around Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) training was changed to 1 per quarter for 2022. We recently became aware of technical issues when accessing the Absorb “on-demand” platform and have engaged IT who is actively working to resolve the issue.

The IHP Performance Improvement Committee and Board of Directors have voted to modify the 2022 IHP Metric requirements surrounding CDI training to allow for these issues to be resolved without impacting physicians’ opportunities for shared savings reimbursement. The new metric requirement is as follows:

  • Complete 2 CDI trainings by the end of Q2 (6/30/2022)
  • Complete 1 CDI training during Q3 (7/1/2022-9/30/2022)
  • Complete 1 CDI training during Q4 (10/1/2022-12/31/2022)

As mentioned, IT is working through the access issue and has a timeline of early-mid April for resolution. We will send out communication when this is fixed with instructions on how to access the tool. We will also have a demo at our next IHP Summit (April 26th, 2022 @ Will Rogers Theater).
