Our women’s center is equipped with labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms, a Level 2 neonatal special care nursery, a dedicated C-section suite and an infant security system. Board certified OB/GYNs are steps away in the adjacent medical office building. Experienced nursing staff and a certified lactation consultant are on hand to assist mothers and babies during pregnancy and postpartum care.

While most deliveries progress according to plan, it’s important to schedule your delivery at a hospital prepared for the unexpected. The only one if its kind in Edmond, the INTEGRIS Health Edmond Women’s Center provides maternal-fetal services for expecting moms as early as 34 weeks gestation.
Our special care nursery, also known as a LEVEL 2 special care nursery, is equipped with leading edge technology including monitors, warmers and respiratory equipment. The nursery offers an intimate environment where light, temperature and noise are controlled to help promote baby’s growth for infants born after 34 weeks or weighing greater than 1500 grams. This includes infants who have physiologic immaturity or who are moderately ill with problems expected to resolve rapidly and are not anticipated to need subspecialty services on an urgent basis. In an effort to make our patients’ stay at INTEGRIS Health Edmonds Women's Center more rewarding and improve the patient experience we are providing parents with CUDDLE TIME Every afternoon from 2 – 4 p.m. Cuddle Time is a two-hour period offered daily to give parents and their newborns uninterrupted time to bond, breastfeed and rest.
Giving birth can be a mixed bag of joy and exhaustion coupled with the anticipation of starting a new chapter of life with a family addition.
While visits from staff, family and friends are helpful and warming, they can also be taxing on a new mom who is trying to get some needed rest and bond with baby.
Responding to patient feedback, INTEGRIS Health Women’s Services developed “Cuddle Time”, between the hours of 2 – 4 p.m. During this period no visits are made, unless requested by new moms or medically necessary. New mothers may do whatever they wish during this time, whether it be breastfeed, read, watch tv or simply rest. Evidence-based research shows that giving patients uninterrupted time to rest promotes health and healing, and allows mothers to establish breastfeeding.
